Key Responsibilities
- Material Movement: Physically transfer materials, maintain bench stock, and transport completed assemblies or jobs between various work areas and cost centers.
- Expediting & Inventory Control: Proactively locate materials and expedite part shortages within the facility to prevent production delays.
- Documentation: Verify and maintain accurate stock documentation and generate detailed shortage reports.
- Equipment Operation: Safely utilize small hand tools and operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, skids, pallet handlers, and hand trucks.
- System Management: Utilize computer applications and internal systems to record and maintain accurate material flow transactions.
- Leadership: Provide functional work leadership and guidance to lower-level handlers to ensure team efficiency.
- Logistics Support: Assist with standard shipping and receiving responsibilities as required by departmental needs.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in a stockroom, warehouse, or receiving environment.
- Technical Skills: * Proficiency with computer systems and data entry.

Responsibilities
The Material Handler under limited supervision, handles, allocates and transfers material, equipment, kits, supplies and shortages that are required and conducive to maintaining an efficient material flow through manufacturing areas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Physically transfers materials, maintains bench stock, and handles completed assemblies/jobs between work areas or cost centers.
Locates materials and expedites part shortages within the plant that may be required for completion of assemblies.
Verifies and maintains stock documentation and shortage reports.
Utilizes small hand tools and operates material handling equipment including for lifts, skids, pallet handlers, hand trucks, and the like.
May use computer applications and computers to maintain accurate material flow transactions.
May provide work leadership to lower-level handlers.
Assist with shipping and/or receiving responsibilities.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
