Responsibilities
- Precision Inspections: Conduct thorough visual and dimensional inspections of automotive seating components and raw materials to ensure they align with strict quality standards.
- Technical Blueprint Interpretation: Read and accurately interpret shop drawings, work orders, and quality checklists to verify that all parts meet engineered designs.
- Precision Tool Operation: Utilize specialized measuring instruments—specifically calipers and micrometers—to validate the physical dimensions and tolerances of manufactured parts.
- Compliance & ASTM Standards: Ensure all inspected materials and final products adhere to industry-specific regulations and ASTM specifications.
- Detailed Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of all inspection findings, documenting results and reporting critical data directly to the QC Manager.
- Nonconforming Material Management: Identify, isolate, and assist in the breakdown of defective parts to analyze root causes and prevent the shipment of nonconforming materials.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the production team to troubleshoot quality issues on the floor and help resolve manufacturing discrepancies in real-time.
