We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable CNC Machine Operator to join our production team. You will be responsible for setting up and operating computer-controlled machines to produce precision aerospace components. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to quality, a solid understanding of blueprints, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-precision environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Set up and operate automated CNC vertical and horizontal milling and turning machines (3, 4, and 5-axis).
- Precision Setup: Accurately locate and identify X, Y, and Z axes; mount, align, and secure tools, fixtures, and workpieces.
- Quality Control: Use precision measuring instruments—including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and scales—to ensure parts meet strict customer specifications and tolerances.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret complex aerospace blueprints, sketches, and setup sheets.
- Process Monitoring: Monitor machine feeds and speeds; listen for irregular sounds (dull tools or vibration) and adjust controls to maintain part integrity.
- Maintenance & Safety: Perform daily point checks on equipment, initiate maintenance requests when needed, and maintain a clean, organized work area (5S standards).
- Documentation: Accurately record production data and job flow status using our ERP system (JobBOSS).
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Vocational training in machining is a plus.
- Experience: 1–3+ years of experience in CNC machining (specifically with Mazak, Haas, or Fanuc controls) is preferred.
- Technical Skills: * Proficiency in reading and interpreting shop blueprints.
