Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Electronics Assembler / Hand Solderer to join our growing manufacturing team in Commack. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling electro-mechanical components and performing precise hand soldering on printed circuit boards (PCBs). If you have a steady hand, great eyesight, and enjoy working in a focused, clean environment, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality through-hole and surface mount (SMT) hand soldering on electronic assemblies.
- Assemble small components, wires, and hardware using basic hand tools (tweezers, cutters, screwdrivers).
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Visually inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and IPC specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) workstation.
- Experience: Prior experience in electronics assembly or hand soldering is highly preferred (experience with IPC-A-610 standards is a major plus).
- Skills: manual dexterity and the ability to work with small parts under a microscope or magnifying lamp.
- Traits: Excellent attention to detail, patience, and a work ethic.
- Language: Ability to read and understand English work instructions.
- Reliability: Must have dependable transportation to the Commack area for the morning shift.
- Competitive weekly pay ($18.00 - $19.00/hr).
