Responsibilities
- Facility & Warehouse Maintenance: Perform routine and preventative maintenance and repairs throughout the main Port Washington facility and warehouse to ensure a safe, operational, and organized working environment for all staff.
- Fleet & Light Mechanical Repairs: Execute basic automotive maintenance on the company delivery fleet, specifically handling tasks such as securing mirrors back on trucks, replacing lights, and addressing minor vehicle repair needs to keep trucks on the road.
- In-House Plumbing: Act as the primary plumber for the facility to diagnose, repair, and maintain the building's water systems, pipes, sinks, and restroom fixtures, ensuring all plumbing operates without leaks or interruptions.
- Woodworking & Carpentry: Utilize woodworking skills to repair and restore damaged wooden rental inventory (such as tables, chairs, and event staging) as well as build, repair, or reinforce structural wooden elements within the warehouse.
- Electrical Troubleshooting: Serve as the on-site electrician for the facility, handling basic electrical repairs, troubleshooting wiring or outlet issues, replacing lighting fixtures, and ensuring safe power distribution throughout the building.
- General Handyman Support: Respond promptly to day-to-day repair requests across the business, leveraging your diverse skill set to quickly resolve mechanical, structural, or facility issues and minimize downtime for Ace Party & Tent Rental operations.
