Responsibilities
- Welding & Fabrication: Read and interpret work instructions to execute precise welds in horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions. Create custom assembly and fabrication fixtures.
- Production & Assembly: Position and clamp components together in fixtures, load and unload jigs, and safely operate hoists and power lift stands.
- Quality Assurance: Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) exactly as written. Accurately count all pieces for quality control prior to welding and perform leak testing on completed products.
- Equipment & Inventory Maintenance: Operate and maintain all welding and machine shop equipment in accordance with operating manuals. Adhere to 5S upkeep standards and notify management of shop consumable levels (e.g., cutting oils, welding gases, tooling) to ensure proper inventory.
- Process Improvement & Compliance: Complete all required production paperwork accurately and on time. Identify and recommend improved methods for creating hardware and assemblies. Perform all job functions safely, efficiently, and as assigned.
