Responsibilities
- Precision Machining: Set up and operate a variety of machine tools—including CNC mills, conventional mills, lathes, and grinders—to machine parts to exact specifications.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read, analyze, and interpret complex engineering blueprints and technical drawings.
- Quality Control: Independently check and verify your own work, utilizing precision measurement equipment to ensure all parts meet strict tolerance requirements.
- Tooling & Fixturing: Design, set up, and fabricate custom fixtures and specialized tools as needed for production.
- Project Management: Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring strict adherence to deadlines while documenting and reporting your progress.
- Machine Assembly: Assist in the hands-on assembly and building of special-application machinery.
- Professional Communication: Maintain professional verbal and written communication with team members and supervisors.
- Workplace Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company standards.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a general or CNC mill machinist.
- Technical Expertise: Proven experience with CNC mills, conventional mills, and manual lathes, including proficiency in CNC programming.
