Responsibilities
- Dough Preparation: Manually separate, portion, and shape raw dough, ensuring it is properly prepped and staged for the production line.
- Oven Operations: Safely and efficiently remove hot, cooked bread from industrial ovens using proper protective equipment.
- Cooling & Staging: Transfer baked bread to cooling racks and organize it to ensure it is fully prepped and ready for the packaging phase.
- Packaging Support: Cross-train and assist the packaging team as dictated by daily business needs, which may include bagging, sealing, labeling, and boxing finished products.
- Quality Control: Inspect both raw dough and finished bread for quality, reporting any inconsistencies or defects to the shift supervisor.
- Sanitation & Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation, strictly adhering to all food safety standards (e.g., FDA, OSHA) and company guidelines.
- Heavy Lifting: Must possess the physical strength to repeatedly lift, push, pull, and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs consecutively throughout the shift.
- Continuous Standing: The position requires standing, walking, bending, and reaching on your feet for the entire duration of the shift.
- Warm Environment: Must be comfortable working in a warm-to-hot commercial production environment due to the continuous operation of large industrial ovens.
- Manual Dexterity: Requires the ability to perform fast-paced, repetitive hand movements while separating dough and packaging bread.
