Responsibilities
- Measure and verify incoming materials against engineering specifications. Conduct thorough visual and measurement tests. Identify defects and directly contact suppliers regarding any unacceptable or rejected materials.
- Approve in-process production by confirming specifications and conducting regular visual and measurement tests. Communicate any required adjustments promptly to the production supervisor.
- Inspect and approve internal and external products returned for rework, ensuring all final adjustments meet compliance standards.
- Document all inspection results accurately by completing reports and logs. Input quality data efficiently into the company’s Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system.
- Keep measurement equipment and gauges fully operational by following operating instructions, identifying malfunctions, and calling for necessary repairs.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy work environment by strictly following organizational standards, safety procedures, and legal regulations.
- Keep professional and technical knowledge up to date by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
- Contribute to the overall success of the quality department and organization by accomplishing related operational goals as needed.
