- Troubleshooting: Proactively diagnose and fix machining issues, including tool wear, machine alarms, and surface finish flaws.
- Tool Maintenance: Grind, sharpen, and recondition custom carbide and HSS cutting tools to exact specifications.
- Shop Excellence: Maintain a lean, clean, and safe shop environment while collaborating with the team to suggest tooling upgrades and process efficiencies.
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience with CNC Swiss lathes, conventional lathes, or mills.
- Technical Skills: strong working knowledge of FANUC CNC controls and a proven track record of machining high-precision, small turned parts.
- Blueprint Literacy: Deep understanding of manufacturing drawings, including GD&T.
- Specialized Skills: Experience with advanced metrology tools, CNC programming, and manual carbide tool grinding/resharpening.
