Responsibilities
What You’ll Be Doing
- Run & Produce: Safely operate modern CNC Lathes to keep production moving smoothly and meet daily output targets.
- Dial It In: Perform basic tooling offset adjustments and swap worn inserts to keep part dimensions dead-on.
- Keep It Running: Load and unload raw materials and finished parts efficiently, maintaining clean and organized work areas.
- Monitor Quality: Watch machine performance, listen for tool wear, and catch potential issues before they cause downtime.
- Shop Teamwork: Communicate effectively with setup machinists and shop supervisors to keep job transitions seamless.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience operating CNC Lathes in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic Control Knowledge: Familiarity with starting, stopping, and running Fanuc, Haas, or Mazak machine controls.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable working around heavy equipment, handling precision parts, and using basic shop tools.
- Reliability: High work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to showing up ready to produce.
- Safety First: Strict adherence to shop safety protocols, personal protective equipment (PPE), and machine safety rules.
