About the Role Are you a skilled quality inspection professional with a strong eye for detail? We are looking for a Quality Inspection Technician C to join our team in Londonderry, NH. In this role, you will perform precision mechanical and visual inspections of raw materials, machined parts, and electronic assemblies to ensure total compliance with quality standards, engineering drawings, and strict specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Precision Mechanical & Visual Inspection: Perform detailed mechanical inspections from dimensioned drawings using calipers, micrometers, surface plates, height gages, gage blocks/pins, optical comparators, toolmakers microscopes, CMMs, and standard metrology tools. Perform visual inspections on electronic assemblies using microscopes and magnifiers.
- First Article & Source Inspections: Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) and generate clear, detailed reports. Independently execute source inspections at local supplier sites.
- Quality & Discrepancy Reporting: Communicate non-conformances verbally and via written discrepancy reports to Supplier Quality Engineers/Technicians (SQE/SQT). Maintain meticulous inspection records per company policy.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings, assist with routine supplier audits, and work closely with buyers, planners, design/manufacturing/quality engineers, and program leadership.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify custom metrology tool requirements for specialized jobs. Nominate and process Dock-to-Stock (DTS) candidates following established protocols.
- Citizenship: Must be a u.s. citizen or U.S. Person (military contract requirement).
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) + 6+ years of relevant quality inspection experience OR Associate/Post-Secondary Degree + 2+ years of related experience.
- Active IPC-A-610 Certification.
- Hexagon CMM certification (PC-DMIS software).
- Experience programming Keyence Vision Systems.
- Background in optical lens inspection.
