Looking for a dependable, hands-on role with a global leader in sustainable agriculture? Yara’s 80,000 MT Stockton Dry Terminal provides essential deep-water fertilizer access for local markets along the San Joaquin River. We are hiring a dedicated Facilities Operator to join our tight-knit, 14-person terminal crew. If you take pride in safety, quality, teamwork, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Transport Inspections: Inspect incoming railcars and delivery trucks for cleanliness and tailgate integrity prior to loading, reporting any issues to the Control Room.
- Driver Coordination: Work directly with truck drivers to ensure safe, timely, and efficient loading operations.
- Operational Cross-Training: Train across terminal functions—including warehouse and pay-loader operations—to provide key coverage and assist with vessel discharge.
- Safety Compliance: Rigorously follow HESQ guidelines, participate in safety drills, and safely perform railcar cleaning following strict OSHA protocols.
- Terminal Upkeep: Maintain clean, hazard-free warehouse grounds and support maintenance operators with equipment care.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; prior terminal or industrial experience is a plus.
- Eligibility for a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
- High safety orientation, dependability, and willingness to cross-train.
- Physical stamina to lift 25–55 lbs. repetitively, shovel bulk materials, work at heights (up to 150 ft.), enter confined spaces, and wear required PPE/respirator gear in all weather conditions.
- Ability to meet color-vision requirements (not color-blind) and work schedule-driven overtime.

Responsibilities
Transport & Vehicle Inspection: Thoroughly inspect incoming railcars and truck beds for cleanliness, tailgate tightness, and fitness prior to loading; report any contamination issues to the Control Room Operator.
Loading & Driver Coordination: Direct and coordinate with truck drivers to ensure safe, timely, and accurate loading operations across the terminal.
Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to facility HESQ (Health, Environment, Safety, and Quality) guidelines, participate in required safety drills, and wear proper OSHA-certified PPE (including fall and respiratory protection).
Cross-Functional Operations: Cross-train with warehouse and pay-loader operators to serve as operational backup and support bulk vessel discharge activities as directed.
