Responsibilities
- Direct and mentor shift maintenance mechanics in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining automated high-speed food manufacturing machinery (conveyors, depositors, packaging lines, freezers, and industrial ovens).
- Partner with the Maintenance Planner to schedule and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs, minimizing unplanned downtime.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between line supervisors, production leads, and maintenance management to coordinate urgent floor repairs and line changeovers.
- Enforce company LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), OSHA regulations, SQF, FDA, and GMP food safety protocols across all maintenance activities.
- Monitor spare parts usage, track work order completion via Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), and reorder critical components as needed.
- Identify recurring mechanical/electrical failure trends and implement corrective measures to optimize machine efficiency and output.
