Responsibilities
- Perform inspections of components to ensure compliance to drawings, customer specifications and workmanship standards.
- Ability of using precision measurement instruments such as a caliper, micrometer, and other required gages applicable to measurements.
- Familiar with mechanical measuring equipment such as Optical Gaging Product (OGP), and/or X-ray fluorescence (XRF), testing used to determine the elemental composition of materials.
- Knowledge and understanding of different materials used in manufacturing (aluminum, brass, copper, etc.).
- Knowledge and understanding of tolerances and basic GD&T of blueprint drawings.
- Visual inspection for workmanship and print compliance with aid of a microscope if applicable.
- Maintain inspection logs and records.
- Familiar with industry standards such as Mil Specs, IPC-A-610 and MIL-STD-883.
- Additional tasks assigned by your supervisor/manager.
