Responsibilities
Inspect, maintain, and repair industrial equipment and machinery to ensure they
are always in proper working order.
Maintain machinery and equipment by cleaning them after use, adjusting parts,
and lubricating moving components to ensure proper, efficient function.
Change blades on the guillotines that split the leather and change filters and oils
on our hydraulic machines.
Record all maintenance and repair services performed and keep track of all
materials and parts used during the repair process.
Work with purchasing to replenish materials and parts when inventory grows low
or is depleted.
Be able to read manufacturer manuals and blueprints and follow directions when
installing newly acquired machinery.
Cut and weld metal pieces together to fabricate new parts, assemble equipment,
or repair broken parts as required.
Building Maintenance, basic carpentry and plumbing skills a plus.
