Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot & Repair: Figure out why a machine isn't working, take it apart down to the electrical or mechanical components, fix or replace parts (like spindles and clutches), and make sure it’s running properly before putting it back into production.
- Electrical Work: Read machine schematics, test AC/DC voltages, and use gear like digital multimeters and oscilloscopes to fix electrical issues.
- Preventative Maintenance: Set up and run routine maintenance schedules for each machine to prevent breakdowns before they happen.
- Team Support: Train and assist machinists and machine operators when issues pop up, and work alongside engineers and programmers to solve complex assembly problems.
- Vendor Coordination: Schedule outside repair suppliers when specialized service is needed.
