About the Role
We are an industry-leading press brake machinery manufacturer looking for a skilled, hands-on Field Service Technician to join our team.
Because Press Brakes are a brand-new product line for our organization, this position features a phased structure:
- First 18 Months (On-Site Focused): You will be anchored ~90% on-site at our Peachtree City facility. During this initial phase, you will complete intensive technical training, collaborate closely with internal engineering and service teams, and help build our market foundation for this product line. Candidates must live within a 45-minute commute of Peachtree City, GA.
- Long-Term (Field Service): Following the initial 18-month ramp-up phase, the role will transition into a standard field service position requiring ~90% travel across North America to perform press brake machine installations, repairs, and customer support. You will be flown out every Monday and back every Friday.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and perform modifications on mechanical, electrical, and software components of press brake equipment.
- Conduct start-up, checkout, testing, and installation of new machines.
- Provide secondary service support on folding machine product lines as needed.
- Train customer personnel on proper machine operation, safety standards, and preventive maintenance.
- Collaborate with internal service, sales, and engineering teams to resolve technical issues and submit detailed daily service reports.
- Education & Experience: Prefer 4+ years of service/repair/electromechanical maintenance experience with press brake machines.
- Control Systems: Demonstrable experience working with Delem and ESA controls and components.
- Technical Aptitude: Ability to read/interpret machine manuals and electrical/mechanical schematics.
- Tool & Diagnostic Skills: Proficiency using a variety of mechanical, electrical, and testing diagnostic tools.
- Computer Skills: Word, Excel, prefer some CAD.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to regularly lift/move up to 75 lbs.
