Responsibilities
- Receiving Operations: Unload freight, verify physical counts, inspect incoming raw materials for damage or non-conformance, and record receipts against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Shipping & Distribution: Prepare, pack, weigh, and stage materials for shipment. Generate shipping documentation including Bills of Lading (BOL), custom forms, packing slips, and delivery receipts.
- Material Handling & Equipment Operation: Safely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, side-loaders, overhead cranes, and pallet jacks to move and stage heavy metal inventory.
- Inventory & ERP Processing: Perform daily transactions using SAP and RF scanners to record goods receipts, inventory transfers, returns, and shipments.
- Quality & Compliance: Inspect products for proper tagging/labeling, segregate defective or damaged materials, and report discrepancies to purchasing or sales teams.
- Logistics Coordination: Coordinate dock traffic and liaise with freight carriers, truck drivers, and internal departments to ensure timely dispatch and delivery schedules.
