The Opportunity We are seeking a highly skilled Senior CNC Programmer to elevate our precision machining capabilities in South El Monte, CA. In this role, you will be the bridge between design engineering and physical manufacturing, optimizing complex multi-axis milling and turning operations to produce high-tolerance machine components.
What You’ll Do
- Program & Set Up: Write, verify, and optimize G-code/M-code programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC mills and lathes utilizing Fanuc controls.
- CAM Optimization: Utilize Mastercam, Fusion 360, or Inventor CAM to generate precise toolpaths and cut setup times.
- Blueprint Mastery: Read and interpret complex engineering schematics, models, and tight GD&T tolerances.
- Process Excellence: Apply Lean manufacturing principles and EDM techniques to streamline production and eliminate waste.
- Troubleshoot & Maintain: Diagnose machine errors, perform preventative maintenance, and maximize equipment uptime.
- Collaborate & Guide: Work alongside mechanical engineers on new tooling/fixtures while mentoring junior machinists on best practices.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a CNC Programmer in a high-precision manufacturing environment.
- Deep technical expertise with Fanuc controls and standard CAM packages (Mastercam X9, Fusion 360, or Inventor CAM).
- Proven track record in complex milling/turning setups and GD&T interpretation.
- Formal certification or degree in Manufacturing Technology is a major plus.

Responsibilities
- Program & Setup: Write and optimize programs for CNC Mill and Lathe machines using CAD/CAM software (Mastercam X9, Inventor CAM, or Fusion 360) and Fanuc controls.
- Drawing & Blueprint Interpretation: Read and translate complex blueprints, technical schematics, and geometric tolerances to ensure precise part production.
- Process Improvement: Develop and refine advanced machining processes, integrating Lean manufacturing principles and EDM techniques to boost efficiency and quality.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance and diagnose operational issues on CNC equipment to minimize machine downtime.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering teams to design, evaluate, and implement new manufacturing methods and tooling.
- Quality & Safety Assurance: Enforce rigorous safety regulations, inspection protocols, and quality control measures across all operations.
- Mentorship & Training: Guide, train, and support junior machinists and staff on programming practices and machine operations.
