We are seeking a 2nd shift CNC Lathe Machinist for a well established manufacturing company in Farmington, CT. The ideal candidate will be someone who has experience setting up and operating CNC Lathe machines to machine metal, cast aluminum, or plastic parts as needed. The hours for this position are 3:00PM-11:30PM Monday-Friday. 

salary: $54,500 - $68,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Follow oral and written instructions while using close vision to read and interpret CAD drawings and manufacturing orders
• Prepare and pre-set all tools needd for machining operations from machine set-up sheets
• Locate suitable CNC Code/Program and transfer from the storage location to the CNC Machine and modify program as needed
• Assemble cutting tools into tool holders and position tool holders into the machine tool changer
• Perform first piece measurements and periodic quality checks
• Perform basic math functions and use MRP software to complete required inspection documentation
