Responsibilities

• Operates Automated Packer according to procedure.
• Assures proper operation of stacking equipment, and overhead case transfers preceding the packing.
• Salvages damaged products
• Assists the filler operator in setting up the filler at start-up and changeovers.
• When changing from one size/flavor to another size/flavor, the packer seals and records the number of all unused containers and returns unused portions to their proper storage location in the Dry Storage Warehouse.
• Records the number of cartons packed on the production run sheet.
• Completely clean the culture packaging machinery including parts, fittings, conveyors, and surrounding areas.
•  Must be able to perform all functions of the Modern Operator position and give breaks to the person in that position
•  Must obtain appropriate training as “Qualified Individual” to properly monitor Preventative Controls specific to job duties
•  Fulfill all assignments as given by the Master Safety/Sanitation Program.
•  May be required to rotate jobs for short periods of time with the Modern Operator.
• Check to assure that all products bottled have the correct code date and are packaged in the correct carton.
• Checks metal detector at start of shift- Shift hours are: 1st, 6:15am to 2:45pm; 2nd  2:15pm-10:45pm; 3rd 10:15pm to 6:45am, Requires resume and interview

The essential functions of this role include:

wearing steel toe shoes

manual lifting up to 35lbs

working up to 8 hrs of overtime per week

working weekends
