Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Industrial Machine Electrician to build, wire, test, and troubleshoot electrical control systems for automated machinery at our facility. This role covers the complete electrical build lifecycle: control panel layout and wiring, machine-level conduit routing, and 220V–480V 3-phase power distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Panel Assembly & Wiring: Lay out, mount, and wire industrial control panels from electrical schematics, drawings, and BOMs. Mount circuit breakers, power supplies, contactors, overloads, transformers, VFDs, servo drives, PLCs, and safety relays.
- Industrial Machine Wiring: Route, pull, and terminate wiring, conduit, and cable trays on machinery. Wire motors, solenoid valves, safety switches, sensors, encoders, and operator stations across 24VDC controls and 220V–480V 3-phase industrial power circuits.
- Schematic Verification: Interpret multi-page ladder logic schematics and machine wiring diagrams. Verify point-to-point connections, flag drawing discrepancies, and collaborate with engineering on corrections.
- Testing & Live Troubleshooting: Perform pre-power-up ring-outs, verify phase rotation, and conduct full electrical power-ups. Systematically troubleshoot wiring faults, PLC I/O, VFD parameters, and safety interlocks using digital multimeters and test gear.
- High school diploma or GED; technical or trade certificate in Electrical Technology or Industrial Automation preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in industrial panel building, machinery wiring, or equipment maintenance.
- Solid ability to read and interpret industrial electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Solid working knowledge of 24VDC control circuits and 220V–480V 3-phase AC power.
- Climate Controlled Environment
- Health Insurance

Responsibilities
- Panel Assembly & Fabrication: Lay out, mount, and wire industrial control panels from electrical schematics, panel layouts, and bills of materials (BOM). Mount circuit breakers, power supplies, contactors, overload relays, terminal blocks, transformers, VFDs, servo drives, PLC hardware, and safety circuits.
- Machine-Mounted & High-Voltage Wiring: Wire motors, solenoid valves, safety switches, sensors, encoders, pushbuttons, and HMI operator stations. Run, route, and terminate conduit, cable trays, wireways, and cord grips across 24VDC control circuits and 220V–480V 3-phase industrial power systems.
- Schematic Interpretation & Quality Control: Read and verify point-to-point connections against schematics and wiring diagrams. Flag discrepancies, identify drawing or design errors, and coordinate corrections with engineering.
- Power-Up & Final Checkout: Safely conduct pre-power-up ring-outs, verify phase rotations and voltage supplies, power up machines, and perform complete electrical validation checks during functional testing and final commissioning.
- Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Use digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and testing tools to diagnose wiring faults, component failures, and control logic issues involving PLC I/O, VFD parameters, motor controls, and interlocks.
