We engineer and manufacture visual safety systems for all types of commercial fleet vehicles and are one of the largest suppliers of backup camera systems, mirrors, visors, and other visual safety solutions in the nation. We are loooking for a full fledged CNC programmer to join our team. Full time, medical benefits, PTO and 10 paid holidays

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Program Generation: Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs for 3- to 5-axis mills, lathes, and sheet metal/routing equipment using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidCAM, or Fusion 360).
  
  
• Setup & Tooling Strategy: Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, speeds, feeds, and tool paths to maximize machining efficiency, part precision, and tool life.
  
  
• First-Article Inspection: Perform setup verification and inspect first-off parts using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, optical comparators, CMM) to ensure adherence to engineering drawings and GD&T specifications.
  
  
• Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate cycle times, tool wear, and scrap rates; adjust programs and fixturing to support Lean manufacturing and root-cause quality improvements.
  
  
• Floor Support & Collaboration: Partner with CNC operators to troubleshoot machining anomalies, clarify setup instructions, and maintain comprehensive setup sheets and work documentation.
  
  
• Machine Maintenance: Assist with basic machine preventive maintenance routines and ensure all safety protocols are followed in the machine shop.
