We are seeking a versatile and professional Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This role is the heartbeat of our daily operations, balancing high-touch customer service with essential technical pharmacy tasks. You will serve as the first point of contact for our members and providers, ensuring they receive the care and information they need while supporting the pharmacist in clinical and administrative workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Professional Communication: Act as the primary lead for incoming calls from members and healthcare providers. Provide expert assistance and ensure all clinical or judgment-based inquiries are seamlessly transferred to the Pharmacist.
- Pharmacy Operations: Support the end-to-end prescription process, including accurate data entry, filling prescriptions, and managing the shipping of medications.
Clinical Support: Assist with the prior authorization process to ensure timely access to therapy for our members.
- Front-End Service: Provide a welcoming experience for walk-in patients, handling inquiries and transactions with professionalism.
- Administrative Excellence: Utilize advanced computer skills to manage word processing tasks and maintain detailed spreadsheets for departmental tracking.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, specifically in a role that involved coordinating administrative support functions.
- Licensure: Active Colorado State Pharmacy Technician License in good standing.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Word and Excel (spreadsheet utilization is a core part of this role).
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal customer service skills. You must be able to communicate complex information clearly and empathetically.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification: National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT).
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM (No Weekends!)
