Top Healthcare Company in California is hiring a Trauma Registrar to work in Crescent City CA.

Contract position
The Trauma Registrar manages the trauma registry database for the Trauma Services department, ensuring accurate, timely, and accessible trauma data for program operations, reporting, and survey readiness. This role collects, compiles, abstracts, and presents data related to trauma incidence, severity, outcomes, causes of injury, and required trauma indicators.
Responsibilities include maintaining clinical and research databases, supporting trauma management requirements for Oregon and California, and assisting with data used for process improvement, clinical effectiveness, research studies, and education activities. This is a 100% non-clinical, non-patient-facing role focused on trauma data integrity, registry workflows, and backfill support during the recruitment and hiring process.
Requirements:
*Current Certified Abbreviated Injury Scale Specialist (CAISS)
Completion of AIS course through the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine
*Completion of ATS Trauma Registry Course (TRC)
Experience with trauma registry data input, management, and reporting
*Experience with trauma data quality, accuracy, timeliness, and accessibility standards
*Ability to collect, compile, and present trauma incidence, severity, and outcome data
*Ability to support trauma program requirements for Oregon and California trauma management
*Proficiency in maintaining clinical and research databases for identified programs or specialty clinics
Preferred Requirements:
*Experience with trauma survey readiness or trauma program assessment support
*Experience with process improvement, clinical effectiveness, or research data studies
*Experience preparing information for patient, family, or education-related activities
*Experience in a hospital trauma services department
*Ability to work independently in a non-clinical role similar to coding or registry functions
Contract for 6 months to start.
On site role
Schedule: M-F - 8am to 5pm
