Care Management Associate (CMA)
Location: Remote (Ohio residents only)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
23 week contract
Pay: $22.63-$24.27/hour
Position Overview
Leading national healthcare company is seeking a Care Management Associate (CMA), which provides behavioral health services to eligible children and young adults enrolled in Ohio Medicaid.
As the administrative "front desk" for the Care Coordination team, you'll serve as the first point of contact for members, families, providers, and community partners. This role combines customer service, care coordination support, referral processing, and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
Answer inbound calls and respond to inquiries from members, guardians, providers, and community partners.
Receive and process OhioRISE referrals.
Verify Medicaid eligibility and complete referral documentation.
Conduct Health Risk Assessments for assigned members.
Provide administrative support to the Care Coordination team.
Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical record systems.
Work within multiple systems, including Excel and other internal databases.
Prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
Ensure HIPAA compliance and protect confidential member information.
Collaborate with care coordinators, case managers, behavioral health providers, child welfare agencies, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in customer service, healthcare, care coordination, or administrative support.
Experience handling high call volumes.
Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously.
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote team.
Must reside in Ohio.
Preferred
Experience in Medicaid, managed care, behavioral health, or care management.
Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
