responsibilities:
- Serve as a key owner of our SQL Server database environment, encompassing proactive maintenance, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Architect and implement robust backup and recovery strategies, ensuring business continuity and data integrity.
- Collaborate closely with application development teams to design, implement, and optimize database integrations for various business applications.
- Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex database-related issues with speed and efficiency.
- Lead and execute database migrations, upgrades, and the application of necessary patches.
- Establish and maintain comprehensive documentation for database architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of APIs to facilitate seamless data exchange between diverse systems.
- Participate in application development efforts and provide support for data-driven applications.
qualifications:
- 5+ years of proven experience as a SQL Database Administrator, demonstrating a strong understanding of application and API development concepts.
- Deep proficiency in all aspects of SQL Server database management, including creation, maintenance, and optimization.
- Mastery of writing and debugging intricate SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Extensive experience in designing and implementing comprehensive backup and restore strategies.
- In-depth knowledge of SQL Server security best practices, including roles, permissions, and encryption.
- Expertise in performance tuning methodologies, including query optimization, index management, and execution plan analysis.
- Solid understanding of database schema design principles, normalization techniques, and partitioning strategies.
- Hands-on experience with high availability solutions such as SQL Server clustering, replication, log shipping, and Always On Availability Groups.
- Proven ability to develop, deploy, and troubleshoot ETL processes using SSIS.
- Experience in building and deploying reports using SSRS.
- Working proficiency in developing, testing, and deploying C# applications using .NET/.NET Core.
