job summary:
This position will be responsible for testing key controls and processes within clients' Global Control Room (GCR). Key accountabilities include the following:
- Support the execution of testing different systems and changes within the Global Control Room. This includes but is not limited to, all testing related to the new Conflicts system, testing changes within the STAR Compliance system, and changes for any other GCR system where changes and testing is required.
- Testing will also include engagement work (design and operating effectiveness testing) in accordance with established standards to achieve completion within target timelines for different technology projects occurring in the GCR.
- Independently perform tasks from end to end.
- Carry out work with some complexity, generally requiring a short-term focus.
- Manage ambiguity, and apply judgement to identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Prioritize and manage own workload to deliver quality results and meet assigned timelines.
- Proactively identify matters which require additional attention, further escalation, or review.
- Conduct skilled analytical research and analysis as part of the testing engagement and initiatives.
- Support follow-up of findings raised from testing engagements in accordance with established standards.
- Requires working professional level knowledge of the functional area and/or business areas supported and applicable regulatory requirements.

qualifications:
MUST HAVE:
1.) 3+ years of experience in Compliance-Control Room or similar compliance systems or control testing role
2.) Excellent verbal & written communication skills
3.) Prior reporting experience
4.) Advanced Excel skills
NICE TO HAVE
1.) Experience within client or Compliance-Control Room environment preferred
2.) Broker dealer or investment banking
