job summary:
We are seeking a strategic Project Consultant to partner directly with executive leadership-including the Physician in Charge (PIC) and Medical Office Controller (MOC)-to drive key operational, financial, and organizational initiatives. You will serve as a core advisor on budget shortfall remediation, tailored stakeholder communications, and leadership structure redesign to ensure long-term operational success.

responsibilities:
Financial Strategy & Remediation: Partner with the PIC and MOC to design and execute a comprehensive budget shortfall remediation plan across physician, non-physician/ancillary, and non-payroll operational areas.

Strategic Stakeholder Communication: Develop and implement customized communication strategies for the incoming PIC, tailored to the specific needs of diverse constituents, including physician and non-physician leaders, frontline staff, and hospital/health plan representatives.

Organizational Design & Governance: Consult on the redesign of the medical center's leadership team and operational oversight structures to improve efficiency and governance.

Leadership Development: Advise on targeted leadership development programs, with a primary focus on cultivating physician leaders to drive strategic priorities.

 
qualifications:
Experience: 8+ years of management consulting, healthcare operations, or strategic project management experience within a health system or medical group environment.

Executive Leadership Alignment: Proven track record of directly advising and partnering with C-suite executives, physician leaders (PIC/CMO), and financial leaders (Controller/CFO).

Financial Acumen: Strong background in healthcare financial management, including budget restructuring, cost-containment strategy, and operational shortfall remediation.

Organizational Design & Change Management: Demonstrated success in designing executive governance structures, leading organizational redesigns, and driving complex change initiatives.

Stakeholder Engagement: Exceptional communication and change management skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence and build consensus across diverse medical center constituents (physicians, frontline staff, and health plan partners).
