A client of ours in the manufacturing industry located in Paris, Kentucky is seeking an Accounts Payable Analyst to join their team. This role is responsible for the precise and efficient management of accounts payable, ensuring financial accuracy and smooth operations. The primary responsibilities include processing invoices, matching/batching/coding invoices, and issuing payments. Review, sort, and accurately classify all accounts payable documents. Audit invoices for accuracy and proper approval, then verify and/or assign appropriate G/L account numbers. Create vouchers for vendor invoices and process weekly check runs. Respond promptly to vendor payment inquiries, research discrepancies, and resolve issues to maintain vendor relationships. Manage both open and closed current A/P files, as well as seven years of historical payable files. Maintain fixed asset files with all original documentation. Oversee petty cash, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained. Assist with month-end and year-end closing by processing and reviewing AP reports and documents. Strictly follow all accounting policies and procedures, as well as general company policies, rules, and procedures. Suggest improvements to current accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency. Promptly respond to all emails, phone calls, and voicemail messages.
