We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to manage our full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. This is a vital role ensuring the accuracy of our financial records, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and supporting our month-end close processes. The position is located in Washington, D.C. (Northwest) and the schedule is 4 days onsite/1 day remote.salary: $74,000 - $85,000 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 5 PMeducation: BachelorsResponsibilitiesExperience with Sage Intacct and Bill.com a MUST Accounts Payable (AP) Cycle Management: Execute full-cycle AP, including invoice processing, approval workflows, and payment issuance. Reconciliations: Reconcile AP, credit cards, and prepaid accounts; investigate and resolve all discrepancies. Compliance & Tax: Manage 1099 filings and Sales/Use tax returns while supporting annual financial audits. Expense Tracking: Oversee travel advances and ensure accurate coding of all company expenses. Vendor Relations: Resolve billing disputes and inquiries promptly to maintain positive vendor and client partnerships. Accounts Receivable (AR) Invoicing & Revenue: Prepare project-based invoices and ensure accurate revenue recognition and coding. Cash Management: Process receipts, post transactions, and manage daily bank deposits. Collections: Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances to ensure timely cash flow. General Ledger Integrity: Reconcile AR and Deferred Revenue accounts, ensuring sub-ledgers align with the GL. Analysis & Reporting: Provide ad-hoc financial reporting and assist with special accounting projects as needed.
