We are seeking a proactive and skilled Accountant or Bookkeeper to handle all aspects of our accounts payable and accounts receivable. This role is a vital part of our team, providing financial leadership and contributing to the strategic growth of the firm. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the unique financial operations of an architecture or design firm. salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 9 AM - 5 PMeducation: AssociateResponsibilities Financial Management: Manage all AP and AR, including the creation and distribution of monthly client invoices. Accurately calculate and bill earned fees based on a percentage of construction cost for multiple ongoing projects. Organize and maintain a comprehensive spreadsheet of all firm expenses, including software licenses, utilities, and overhead costs. Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accurate financial record-keeping. Strategic Planning: Assist in the development of the firm's budget and create financial projections for future staffing needs (2-4 quarters). Contribute to data-driven decision-making by providing clear financial reports and insights. Firm Operations & Business Development: As financial tasks become streamlined, this role will evolve to include day-to-day operational support. Take on business development responsibilities, such as assisting with the writing and preparation of architectural proposals, submitting applications for architectural services contracts with government agencies (RFPs), and pursuing new business opportunities.
