This industry leader is looking for a Mechanical Assembly Technician to add to their growing team. Mechanical Assembly Technician with a high degree of problem-solving ability, to assemble complex and precision mechanical assemblies and complicated mechanisms to build a quality product. The machinery has critical dimensional specifications and operating relationships where fitting of components, calibration of operating units, alignment and/or balancing of completed assemblies requires the application of skilled mechanical principles and a broad knowledge of assembly techniques. The Mechanical Assembly Technician assists with final inspection and testing of machinery to ensure equipment meets performance standard and requirements. salary: $62,400 - $72,800 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 4 PMeducation: No Degree RequiredResponsibilities Ability to read and follow work instructions and procedures Read and interpret engineering prints/specifications, electrical schematics, manufacturing manuals, and/or verbal/written. Utilize handheld tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, drill guns, crimpers, etc. Use a variety of precision measuring and gauging instruments e.g. scale, calipers, etc., to inspect and verify conformance of parts to specifications/tolerances Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards Discern quality of parts and materials used in production.
