We are seeking to hire two experienced and highly skilled Maintenance Technicians to join our team in Otay Mesa, CA. The ideal candidates will be fully bilingual in English and Spanish and have a minimum of 6 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment. One position will have an emphasis on electrical skills (1st shift), while the other will require a strong balance of mechanical and electrical skills (2nd shift). Both roles are required to have extensive MULTIVAC experience, particularly with pneumatics. Shifts Available: 1st Shift (5:00 am - 1:30 pm) & 2nd Shift (1:30 pm - 10:00 pm), with flexibility to start 1-2 hours early based on manufacturing needs.salary: $58,240 - $70,720 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 4 PMeducation: High SchoolResponsibilities Mechanical Aptitude: You'll be responsible for the full lifecycle of machinery, including disassembling, inspecting, repairing, and reassembling components to ensure all equipment is in optimal working condition. Electrical Expertise: Must be proficient in troubleshooting circuits, working with low voltage systems (24VDC), and interpreting electrical diagrams. The 1st shift role will place a higher emphasis on these skills. Pneumatic Skills: A strong understanding of pneumatic systems is a must. You will be expected to troubleshoot air leaks and perform repairs or replacements on components like cylinders and valves, with specific experience on MULTIVAC equipment being a key requirement. Troubleshooting: Systematically diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, or operational issues with machinery to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency. Preventative Maintenance (PM): Perform routine maintenance tasks, inspections, and adjustments to prevent breakdowns and ensure machines operate at peak performance. Machine Shop Skills: A basic understanding of machine shop practices is necessary. The ability to use related tools for repairs or minor modifications will be a valuable asset.
