Prepare workstations for testing by building worklists, aliquoting samples, checking for clots/fibrin, and performing slide preparation or inoculation. Technical Support: Perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment, change gas cylinders, and prepare necessary reagents or media for the department. Quality & Compliance: Execute assigned QA/QC duties, maintain department records, and perform weekly radioactive wipe tests to ensure a compliant work environment. Operational Efficiency: Resolve pending lists, locate missing samples, and ensure the timely retrieval and storage of specimens. Lab Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe workspace through regular decontamination and the proper disposal of biohazardous materials. Data Entry: Utilize laboratory information systems and PCs to record data, print labels, and track temperature charts. Safety Adherence: Strictly follow all PPE requirements and safety regulations at all times. qualifications: Required: Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Soft Skills: Proven ability to establish work priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously for maximum workstation efficiency. Communication: Ability to interact with coworkers and customers with a high degree of courtesy and respect. Retention: Strong ability to learn, retain, and apply technical information and laboratory protocols quickly. Preferred: Education/Training: Medical Assistant training or a strong background in high school/college-level Math and Science courses. Experience: While no prior experience is required, a familiarity with medical terminology or a laboratory environment is a plus.
