Comprehensive regional healthcare system is hiring for a Cath Lab Tech in the Pleasant Praire, WI area! The Catheterization Technologist is an essential member of the Interventional Procedures team, providing technical and clinical support during diagnostic and interventional cardiac, vascular, electrophysiology, and neurointerventional procedures. The technologist works under the direction of physicians, assisting with hemodynamic monitoring, imaging, sterile scrubbing, and procedural documentation. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES-Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures.-Operate and troubleshoot hemodynamic monitoring, imaging, and recording equipment.-Scrub, circulate, or monitor cases while maintaining sterile technique.-Prepare procedure rooms and ensure supplies/equipment readiness.-Monitor patient vital signs and waveforms during procedures.-Support patient care needs, including positioning, comfort, and safety.-Provide clear communication and education to patients and families as appropriate. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED-Requires knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles and procedures as well as operation and maintenance of radiographic equipment consistent with applicable licensure,).-Ability to achieve homeostasis from puncture sites using continuous manual pressure for a minimum of 30 minutes.-Ability to participate in critical thinking promotes desired positive .-Ability to read, write, hear, speak and comprehend the English language.-Perform under stress when confronted with emergencies, critical, or situations in which work speed and sustained attention are required aspects of the job.-Requires fine finger movements with above average dexterity.-Requires sustained, long periods of standing. LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS REQUIREDCandidates may qualify through one of the following credentialing pathways:-ARRT(R) - Radiologic Technologist with current ARRT certification in Radiography.-RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist-CVT - Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program with credential/registry eligibility.-CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) - Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program with national certification preferred (NBSTSA). Additional requirements:-BLS (or obtained within 90 days of hire).-ACLS certification (or obtained within 6 months of hire). We are seeking a Certified Surgical Tech First Assistant to provide aid to the surgeon during invasive procedures. Working under the supervision of a surgeon and registered nurse, you will perform intraoperative technical functions such as exposure, hemostasis, and closure to help achieve a safe operation with optimal patient results. This role requires expertise in sterile and aseptic techniques, human anatomy, surgical procedures, and equipment management to maximize patient safety. Job DutiesProvide aid in exposure, hemostasis, closure, and other intraoperative technical functions.Work under the supervision of a surgeon and registered nurse to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures.Ensure the operating room environment is safe and that equipment functions properly.Conduct the operative procedure under conditions that maximize patient safety.Apply expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic techniques.Combine knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation tools and technologies to facilitate a physician's performance.Perform all technical and physical functions and skills related to the job performance of a Surgical First Assistant and an Operating Room Surgical Technologist.Serve as a multifaceted communicator in a variety of emotional situations.Perform cleaning and restocking of sterile core areas and Operating Rooms.Minimum RequirementsEducation: High School Diploma or equivalent and an Associate degree in Surgical Technologist.Certification/Training:Current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (or ability to obtain within 6 weeks of hire).Certification in The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) OR certification as Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) by the National Surgical Assistant Association.Must fulfill demonstrated First Assist competencies as defined by the Surgical Services Department within 60 days of hire (in addition to formal education).Alternative Experience: If no formal First Assist education, previous work experience in a full-service OR with validated competencies equivalent to two (2) full years of First Assisting will be considered.
