This position supports the integrity of our financial operations by owning core accounting processes, ensuring accurate and timely payroll, and contributing to strong internal controls. As a Senior Accountant, you will manage day‑to‑day accounting activities, support the month‑end close process, and collaborate cross‑functionally to keep financial data accurate, organized, and audit‑ready. You will work hands‑on with tools such as Paylocity, Ramp, and QuickBooks Online, helping to streamline workflows and enhance the efficiency of our accounting systems. This role will likely transform into a senior accountant role once the Controller retires. salary: $95,000 - $110,000 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 5 PMeducation: BachelorsResponsibilitiesPayroll & Compliance End-to-End Processing: Manage biweekly payroll via Paylocity, ensuring accuracy in hours, deductions, bonuses, and tax calculations. Data Integrity: Validate all payroll changes (new hires, terminations, pay rates) and coordinate with HR on benefit enrollments and compensation adjustments. Reporting & Audits: Resolve payroll discrepancies and tax notices while supporting year-end tasks like W2 reviews and compliance audits. Accounts Payable (AP) & Receivable (AR) AP Management: Lead the full AP lifecycle using Ramp and QuickBooks Online, including invoice coding, weekly payment processing, and vendor statement reconciliation. Vendor Relations: Maintain accurate vendor records (W9s, banking) and manage year-end 1099 reporting. AR & Billing: Issue customer invoices, apply payments promptly, and monitor outstanding receivables to maintain an accurate AR aging report. General Accounting & Month-End Financial Accuracy: Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure all financial data is accurate and organized. Closing Support: Assist with the month-end close process, including the preparation of accruals and payroll journal entries.
