We are seeking a talented Lead Field Service Technician who can hit the ground running. As a Lead Field Service Technician, you'll troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment while delivering top-notch service to customers. You will also perform vibration analysis, thermographic imaging, and various electrical tests as you diagnose and repair units. This is a hands-on position requiring the aptitude and attitude to do whatever it takes to safely get the customers back online.salary: $85,550 - $114,000 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 7 AM - 4 PMeducation: High SchoolResponsibilities Oversee and perform hands-on field service, repair, and maintenance for a diverse range of AC and DC electric motors and generators, including induction, synchronous, hydro, wind turbine, steam turbine, and various specialty motors (vertical, explosion-proof, etc.). Lead field teams in the diagnosis and repair of assets ranging from small, fractional HP units up to extra-large industrial equipment. Direct and execute comprehensive on-site electrical and mechanical testing, including non-destructive methods like infrared thermography, insulation resistance, partial discharge, and run testing. Manage and perform scheduled inspection and preventative maintenance tasks in the field, such as disassembly, cleaning, reinsulating, bearing replacement, and commutator work. Ensure field service adherence to the highest quality standards, reflecting the company's capability in large-scale services like rewinds, remanufacturing, and reverse engineering performed on high-voltage equipment. Assist with developing proposals, performing job walks and defining work scope to meet customer needs and requirements on reliability, preventative maintenance, motor change-outs, and testing of customer equipment. Install/Remove AC and DC electric motors, laser align equipment, read precision measuring tools such as micrometers, replace sleeve and anti-friction bearings, set seals, air gaps, torque critical components to proper torque specs.
