About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our growing team in Macon. In the fast-paced world of construction and roofing, cash flow is king. You will be the engine behind our revenue cycle, ensuring that our commercial and residential clients are billed accurately and that payments are collected in a timely manner. This role requires a unique blend of financial precision and excellent communication skills. You’ll be working closely with project managers, homeowners, and commercial developers to resolve billing discrepancies and maintain healthy financial relationships.salary: $24 - $25 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 5 PMeducation: High SchoolResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities Billing & Invoicing: Generate and distribute accurate invoices for residential roofing repairs and large-scale commercial construction projects. Payment Processing: Post daily deposits, including checks, credit cards, and ACH payments; reconcile discrepancies between payments and open invoices. Collections: Monitor aging reports and conduct professional follow-up calls or emails to ensure timely payment from clients. Lien Waivers & Compliance: Prepare and track Conditional and Unconditional Lien Waivers—a critical step in the construction payment process. Account Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of the A/R sub-ledger against the general ledger. Customer Service: Act as the primary point of contact for client billing inquiries, providing a high level of service to both local homeowners and corporate partners. Documentation: Maintain organized digital and physical files for project-based billing, including work orders and change orders.
