We are seeking an experienced Claims Examiner to join a leading organization in the insurance claims management industry. This role is responsible for investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and resolving first- and third-party insurance claims while ensuring compliance with policy provisions, company guidelines, and industry regulations. 100% Remote but must be located within the State of California to be considered!salary: $25 - $30 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 4 PMeducation: High SchoolResponsibilities Review new claim assignments, verify policy coverage, and acknowledge claims. Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve moderate-complexity first- and third-party insurance claims. Conduct claim investigations by communicating with claimants, insureds, witnesses, clients, and other involved parties. Interpret policy language and determine applicable coverage using sound judgment. Establish claim reserves and authorize payments within approved authority levels. Negotiate equitable claim settlements while ensuring timely payment processing. Identify subrogation and recovery opportunities and manage the recovery process. Prepare claim reports and participate in claim reviews with clients and management. Maintain accurate claim documentation and ensure compliance throughout the claims lifecycle. Qualifications 2+ years of experience handling property, casualty, liability, or workers' compensation claims. Understanding of insurance policies, coverage analysis, and claims investigation. Experience evaluating claim liability, damages, reserves, and settlement negotiations. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Verbal and written communication abilities with a customer-focused approach. Ability to manage multiple claims while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with claims management systems and Microsoft Office applications is preferred.
