job summary: Financial Reporting & Data Analytics Manager This individual is responsible for collaborating with the controller of financial reporting and data analytics to create efficiencies through implementing and maintaining data and automation driven processes, setting objectives and goals for the team, managing daily work assignments, supervising and coaching other team members, and ensuring the overall execution of the responsibilities of the team. location: Owings Mills, Maryland job type: Permanent salary: $120,000 - 140,000 per year work hours: 9 to 5 education: Bachelor's degree experience: 3 Years responsibilities: Partner in the evaluation and implementation of technology to automate capabilities within the Finance department.Using Microsoft Power Platform, develop new processes to gather and analyze financial data across the organization and create datasets.Build and maintain interactive reports and dashboards to assist management in data-driven decision making.Train users within the Finance department on the use of technology tools as they relate to the finance function.Support the maintenance of the general ledger architecture (chart of accounts, use of database fields, reporting structures, etc.).Set up new tenants and vendors in the accounting system and ensure the completeness of W9 records.Assist in compilation of monthly internal financial statements and memo, including preparing supporting schedules, running expense allocations, and preparing monthly budget to actual department reports.Complete month-end close tasks including bank reconciliations, balance sheet reviews, review of expense report and invoice coding, and entering reclassification entries in the accounting system.Perform other responsibilities as assigned, such as ad hoc reporting requests, preparing materials for board meetings, supporting the annual audit process, and assisting in the documentation of accounting policies and procedures. qualifications: Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in data science, finance, accounting, information technology, or equivalent degree or experience in these fields.At least three years of relevant work experience, including financial analysis, data aggregation, data analysis, data visualization, or data science.Proficiency in advanced Excel, including Power Query.Previous experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and/or Power Automate.Must possess strong financial, analytical, organizational, and quantitative skills and ability to coordinate complex activities, prioritize conflicting demands, and meet deadlines with a quality, accurate work product. This position works on a hybrid schedule (50% remote) out of their suburban Wash DC/Baltimore office. Annual salary is $120,000 - 140,000.
