Key Responsibilities: Document Management: Draft, format, proofread, assemble, file, and serve legal documents (pleadings, motions, subpoenas, briefs with TOC/TOA, jury instructions). Court E-Filing: Efficiently handle e-filing in state, federal, and appellate courts utilizing standard legal court portals. Calendaring & Docketing: Maintain attorney calendars, track court dates, discovery deadlines, and meetings utilizing calendaring software. Admin & Client Care: Screen clients, answer phones/emails, prepare conflict reports, open new files, and manage correspondence. Input client contact information, prepare conflict reports and open new files, set up captions for new litigation, manage correspondence and maintain file. Attorney and Client Interaction: Serve as a vital link between attorneys and clients, greet visitors, conduct initial client screenings, and relay messages.
