Core responsibilities will include maintaining software/hardware within the facility, repairing computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals and assessing tickets through Alloy Navigator. Since this is a client facing role, strong communication and troubleshooting skills are preferred. Candidates will be responsible for routine support, maintenance and monitoring of the organization's IS infrastructure including the network, servers, communications systems, IS hardware and/or software applications. Day to day activities will include assisting with server issues, troubleshooting phone/internet issues, document, maintain, upgrade or replace hardware and software systems, support and user account information. Candidates will monitor securities, communications, network, and information systems to ensure availability to all users. Additionally they will operate, observe, monitor and control the status and performance of some or all components of network facilities, systems, computers, applications and/or peripheral equipment, including telecommunications and traditional midrange job management. Research error messages and may manipulate console to resequence job steps or reconfigure applications after the process is interrupted. Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves problems affecting performance. Applies understanding and knowledge of information systems products, services and/or applications to assist and advise end-users with all aspects of user reported problems. Identifies, investigates and researches user questions and problems as well as recognizing, researching, isolating and resolving problems. Conducts services, repairs, training, and follow-up or coordinates referrals to appropriate technical, professional or service personnel. Performs evaluations of new and existing hardware and/or software in the market and assists in the selection of new products. Assists with and/or performs the installation, implementation and upgrades of computer hardware, software and/or systems. May maintain inventory of all computer equipment, hardware, software, licenses, supplies, parts and logs of system usage and repairs/services performed.
