The Opportunity: We are seeking a high-caliber Director of Accounting for a premier, high-growth organization in the Henderson area. This is a critical leadership role that reports directly to the Controller and serves as a key partner to the executive team. Financial Reporting: Oversee the complete month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes. GAAP Compliance: Prepare & analyze accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, P&L, and ad hoc segment reporting. Systems Evolution: Lead department through a major ERP migration to a cloud-based environment. Controls & Audits: Develop, implement, and maintain internal accounting policies and procedures while assisting with year-end audit requests. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for automation and enhanced operational efficiency within accounting operations. Required Qualifications: Education: BS in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is strictly required. Experience: 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a management or leadership role. Technical Mastery: Deep knowledge of GAAP and experience drafting/reviewing complex financial reports. Software Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills and prior experience with ERP systems (Sage 100 or Sage Cloud experience is highly advantageous). Technical Requirements You must be highly proficient in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs) and comfortable manipulating high volumes of data to find the "needle in the haystack." Proven ability to reconcile complex GL accounts and resolve discrepancies independently. A deep, fundamental understanding of technical GAAP and the ability to apply it to real-world business scenarios.  qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA is preferred. 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership/management capacity.
