Utilize precision measuring instruments and inspection tools to accurately assess dimensional, mechanical, and functional attributes of parts and assemblies. Conduct visual inspections to identify surface defects, discrepancies, or non-conformities in aerospace components. Document inspection results, including deviations, discrepancies, and non-conformities, and maintain detailed records of inspection findings. Collaborate closely with production teams, engineers, and quality assurance personnel to address quality issues and implement corrective actions. Participate in first article inspections (FAIs), in-process inspections, and final inspections to ensure product quality and adherence to customer requirements. Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures, inspection criteria, and work instructions. Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance quality processes, streamline inspection procedures, and reduce non-conformities. Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to aerospace quality assurance and inspection techniques.
