The Development Manager plays a pivotal role in advancing the mission of the organization by strengthening fundraising, donor engagement, and community outreach efforts. Working side-by-side with the Director of Development, this dynamic role supports a wide range of initiatives—from cultivating meaningful relationships with mid and lower-tier donors, to managing volunteer coordination, event logistics, and communication strategies. The Development Manager will also take the lead on maintaining a clean and accurate donor database, drive parish and community partnerships, and ensure smooth execution of daily development operations. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficient in software such as Adobe Suite, Bloomerang, Constant Contact, Wix, and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel). strong typing and computer proficiency; able to quickly learn agency-specific platforms. Ability to take direction, accept constructive feedback, and consistently report to work on time. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 1 year of experience in development, fundraising, or a related role; 2+ years preferred. Other Requirements Must pass Level II background screening, local county background check, E-Verify check, and both personal and professional reference checks. Clear Motor Vehicle Record; must maintain a valid Florida driver’s license. Proof of auto insurance meeting agency standards. Donor Relations & Stewardship Manage stewardship of mid to lower-tier donors (under $10K) Handle donor communications and thank-you letters Maintain accurate donor records in the database Support personalized stewardship plans 2. Event Planning & Coordination Support planning and logistics for fundraising events Coordinate entertainment, setup, and volunteer roles Track donations, sponsorships, and engagement 5. Database Management Maintain and update donor database (e.g., Bloomerang) Generate reports for tracking and analysis 6.
