This role is the critical gatekeeper of our design integrity. We need an engineer who excels at creating pristine, production-ready drawings from scratch, but who also possesses a relentless eye for detail to audit, troubleshoot, and identify hidden faults, tolerance stack-ups, or discrepancies in existing designs before they ever hit the production floor. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred. CAD & PDM Expertise: strong proficiency in SolidWorks, including drawing creation, file references, and drawing management/PDM practices. Data Integrity: Establish and maintain organized engineering file structures, drawing references, and meticulous revision control. Shop Floor Alignment: Ensure all technical documentation aligns perfectly with current physical designs, manufacturing capabilities, and quality expectations. Root Cause Analysis: Diagnose assembly and product issues, identify root causes, and implement practical design or process improvements. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with production to enhance assembly efficiency, manufacturability, and serviceability.
