Our client is a leading community service nonprofit organization with a membership of approximately 12,000. The DOE is directly responsible for developing and executing the internal operational strategies necessary to achieve the goals and objectives. location: Macon, Georgia job type: Permanent salary: $80,000 - 90,000 per year work hours: 9 to 5 education: Bachelor's degree experience: 5 Years responsibilities: Provides day-to-day operational leadership and support to staff that mirrors the mission and core values of the organization with the highest level of personal and professional integrity. Oversees, directs, and manages all day-to-day nonprofit operations and internal administrative staff of the organization as well as oversees event planning and planning teams. Develops an Event Management strategy that is aligned with the organization's strategy and leads its execution. Develops working relationships with outside vendors and establishes prices and service agreements to enhance the event experience and to increase additional revenue opportunities. Develops and maintains effective communications and reporting to the Executive Committee while collaborating efficiently. Helps manage grant activity related to day-to-day operations, including financial auditing, overseeing outcomes, and reporting. Works with committees related to operations and helps manage expectations to meet organizational goals. Ensures all legal and regulatory documents are filed, reported, audited, and in compliance with laws and regulations for nonprofit organizations. Monitors monthly financial reports to ensure revenue targets are met and expenses are controlled. Provides timely, accurate, and complete reports to the Executive Committee on office performance and yields input from staff when compiling information. Education and Experience: Bachelors' degree is required, Master's Degree is preferred.Minimum of 3 years' experience in operations and event planning required.Examples of successful event planning is a must. Travel: 2-3 times per year for Annual Convention and related site visits.
