job summary: An Environmental Advisor is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Brownsville, TX area. An Environmental Engineer is responsible for integrating and managing complex environmental compliance requirements across project phases, ensuring adherence to regulations, coordinating with stakeholders, conducting inspections, and maintaining documentation and environmental management systems. location: Brownsville, Texas job type: Contract salary: $32.46 - 47.99 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Integrate environmental requirements into project documents: proposals, permits, designs, specs, schedules, and subcontract packages.Interpret complex environmental regulations and apply scientific/engineering principles to ensure compliance.Develop scopes of work, methodologies, and plans to maintain environmental compliance.Review and manage permitting compliance, particularly for RGLNG and Next Decade projects.Provide technical support for feasibility studies, site assessments, and risk assessments.As Project Environmental Lead (PEL), coordinate environmental requirements across Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Contracts.Prepare and maintain Environmental Compliance Plans, CECPs, mitigation plans, training programs, dashboards, and technical reports.Recommend improvements to environmental services (ES) procedures and work processes. Skills: Advanced knowledge in environmental science/engineering principles and methods.Familiarity with environmental compliance standards, BMPs, and mitigation measures.Experience in construction environments, including planning, estimating, and monitoring.Skilled in managing environmental consultants or subcontractors.Proficient in environmental inspection, erosion control, hazardous materials management, and restoration.strong written and verbal communication; bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.Proficient with standard business computer applications.
